MacMixer™ — Friday Night
The MacGathering is a complete event; we can't just leave you hanging with nothing to do on a Friday night!
So this year we introduce the MacMixer.
After the show floor closes you're invited to join us in the outdoor courtyard for a cocktail party. This is a unique opportunity for all attendees to mingle with fellow Mac users: attendees, instuctors, and vendors. You never know who you'll meet there. (By the way, instructor Jonathan Levit may look eerily familiar to you; he was memorable in his guest appearance in the X-Files, and has done other TV since then.)
We'll have Magic Bob Weiss strolling amongst the crowd to mystify you with magic. (If Magic Bob looks familiar when you see him, it might be from his appearance in the current Twix ad campaign.)
The MacMixer is free and open to all event attendees.
We'll have a bartender for a no-host bar, and plan to have some light snacks for you.
The MacMixer will last for a couple of hours, so you can have dinner first, then join us, or join us for a while, then head off to dinner. Tula, the hotel's restaurant is steps away so you can enjoy a reasonably-priced good meal there with old friends and new.
*"Celebrities" and performers have us on their schedules, but this is always schedule permitting.
